Facilitate Seamless Group Ordering : The primary objective is to make the group ordering process as smooth and convenient as possible. Users should be able to add items to a shared cart simultaneously, eliminating the need for coordination and simplifying the overall experience for all participants.
Enhance User Engagement: Introducing a group ordering feature can increase user engagement with the app. It encourages users to invite friends or colleagues to join in, thereby expanding the app's user base and creating a sense of community.
Boost Sales and Order Value: Group ordering typically leads to larger orders as participants may be more inclined to explore additional menu items or upsell offers. The project should aim to increase the average order value and drive more sales for Domino's.
Real-Time Updates and Notifications: Providing real-time updates on the status of the group order and notifying users when others add items or complete their selections can improve transparency and keep participants informed.
Smart Recommendations: Depending upon the group size the app can recommend the quantity of items to buy in order to have a fulfilling experience.
I conducted thorough market research and user insights were gathered to understand the preferences, habits, and expectations of users. This data played a vital role in shaping the Pizza Party feature design and functionality. Amongst al the apps, the design of DoorDash performed best for Indian market and thus was used as the major benchmark for this project.
